Dr. Pavithran Nambiar has put 39 years service in Gujarat Police (India), and during this tenure, worked in different divisions of police department viz., State Reserve Police, Communication, Intelligence, CID Crime and Research. Along with his job, he pursued his studies and secured B.A., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Gujarat University. He was conferred with the prestigious President’s Medal for Meritorious Service in 2003.
Anita Singh is a Professor in the Department of English and Co-coordinator of the Centre for Women’s Studies and Development at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Her areas of interest are Gender Studies and Performance Studies.
She received Fulbright Fellowship in the year 2013.
Her recent edited book is Gender, Space and Resistance: Women and Theatre in India (2013) and co-edited book Revisiting Literary Theory and Criticism: Indian and Western Perspectives. (Eds. Rai, Pandey & Singh, New Delhi, Pencraft International, 2018).
Sharmila is teaching Sociology since 2011 in Tripura University and in Ravenshaw University. She also worked with Archives and Research Centre for Ethnomusicology at American Institute of Indian Studies in Gurgaon. She is a recipient of ICSSR-NEHU post-doctoral program and DAAD grant.
Satendra Kumar is a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS) Shimla. He has a PhD from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He teaches at G. B. Pant Social Science Institute, University of Allahabad. He specialises in the sociology and anthropology of caste, class, development, political cultures, agrarian change, youth and future. His research investigates how marginalized groups understand and engage with democratic politics and the state in contemporary India.
